In the 1970's, my mom gave my sister and me each a spurtle as she was a fan of Graham Kerr, who used spurtles on his cooking show. I used my spurtle often over the years and had particular dishes for which I used it. Then, one day, our beautiful dog decided to make it a chew toy. It must have smelled wonderful after being used for decades of cooking. I searched the Internet, and found many items called spurtles, but none that looked like the spurtle my mom gave me. Then one day, I saw an image of the elusive spurtle. Etsy’s “Scottec Custom Crafts” had them! I ordered two. They look and feel like my spurtle. Scott’s crafted spurtles are beautiful! I prefer a spurtle to a silicone or plastic cooking utensil. Spurtles are sturdy and easy to hold and don’t scratch pots and pans. I highly recommend “Scottec Custom Crafts” spurtles.
